PUT IT IN DIRK'S (INJURED) HAND: Down 10 and losing big late in Game 2 of the 2011 finals against Miami, the Dallas Mavericks made a big fourthquarter rally behind Dirk Nowitzki, who was playing with a torn tendon on the middle finger of his left hand. Nowitzki ignored the pain to score the Mavs final nine points, making his last two baskets with that injured hand, including the goahead lefty layup with 3.6 seconds left in a 9593 victory. Dallas would win the series in six games, with Nowitzki the finals MVP.

Really see the problem here. We need better roads and schooling and they are in the plans. We need better facilities and they are in the plans. We won't get the raods and facilities we need without the housing so that is the compromise we are going to have to make. As for BAE the unions and the local council need to forget about BAE and look to get a new business in the premises. The site has about 1/6th of the workforce it can handle so perhaps we are better off without BAE if a better company can replace them. It would be great if it could be incorporated into Airbus manufacturing more components, but they seem to have that covered at their other sites. Such a shame all of these skills will stagnate or leave the area. I was thinking of smaller light aircraft and using the runway as a faciity for manufacturers of planes who could take over the BAe buildings and use the airstrip in conjunction with that rather than a general airport, but your idea is a good one. May'be they could do both. David Davis put the BAe site to Civitas. From that initiative I understood that the report back was that civil aviation was expected to be a growth industry over the next 20 years. I am no expert though. ERYC should throw these plans in the bin.
